Infini Health specializes in sport medicine, nerve disorders, spine disorders (non-surgical and surgical) and musculoskeletal disorders (bone, joint, ligament, tendon) causing pain.  We use both standard medical techniques but also incorporate regenerative medicine principles using Botox, hyaluronic acid, prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma.  Our physicians have expertise in advanced techniques such as radiofrequency neurotomy for joints, radiofrequency neurotomy of the spine, cryoneurolysis and stem cells therapies.

Patient Care

Approach

Our approach includes comprehensive initial assessments and development of individualized treatment programs. Evidence-based treatments include active rehabilitation, medication management, and advanced interventional techniques using state-of-the-art image guidance.

Treatment

We use fluoroscopy and/or ultrasound-guided imaging for minimally invasive, non-surgical interventional protocols. A typical treatment will include assessment, imaging (such as x-ray, ultrasound and/or MRI),  and image-guided injections for precision.  This is complimented by a customized advanced rehabilitation program to decrease pain, improve function and quality of life.
Your individualized treatment plan will be personally managed by your physician and may incorporate several types of pain relief techniques to help you heal during rehabilitation.

Dr. Katie Dalziel

Dr. Dalziel is pleased to be returning to her Sport and Exercise Medicine practice at Infini Health following her recent maternity leave. Her practice focuses on both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in athletes and non-athletes of all ages with a focus on intervention-based treatments including cortisone, hyaluronic acid, and Platelet-rich plasma injections.

Dr. Dalziel completed her fellowship in Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2018 after completing her Family Medicine residency, both at McMaster University. Prior to this she completed her medical school, Master’s, and Undergraduate degrees at Queen’s University. Dr. Dalziel began her practice in the Niagara region where she has fostered the growth of both an outpatient sport medicine practice and a robust varsity program at Brock University. Currently, she acts as the Chief Medical Officer for Brock University Athletics and holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Brock University. She acted as Chief Medical Officer for the Canada Summer Games held in Niagara this August 2022.

Dr. Dalziel continues to work with high-level athletes and has previously traveled with Lacrosse Canada, Soccer Canada, Ball Hockey Canada and Cycling Canada to various events, however, she has maintained strong ties with the Hamilton community, her hometown. She has acted as the Associate Head Team Physician for the Hamilton Forge FC since its inception in 2018 and has joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a member of the medical staff in 2022.

With a passion for teaching, she continues to be a core member of the faculty for the Sport and Exercise Medicine PGY-3 Program and the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University.

She looks forward to continuing to serve the Hamilton community.

Dr. Arun Gupta

Dr. Gupta is a fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Specialist.  He subspecializes in minimally invasive spinal procedures, sports medicine, regenerative medicine and electromyography.  Dr. Gupta utilizes image-guidance for all interventional treatments using either fluoroscopy or ultrasound.

He has been practicing interventional pain medicine for 12 years following his fellowships at Hospital for Special Surgeries (affiliated with Cornell and Columbia Medical Schools) in New York City and Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at University of Calgary.  He completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Calgary and medical school at the University of Alberta.  The beauty of Western Canada and the advanced interventional techniques encourage Dr. Gupta to remain in Alberta after his training.  Dr. Gupta developed advanced models of medical healthcare delivery. By doing so, he has significantly reduced wait times while improving pain interventions in community-based clinics.

Previously, Dr. Gupta assisted in the development of multiple radiology-based interventional pain centers in Calgary, AB; however, to achieve his great desire for improved medical assessments and higher-quality medicine, he founded Infini Health.  In the past three years, Infini Health has grown two sites in Calgary and expanded to Ontario.  Growing up in Hamilton, Dr. Gupta wanted to return home to develop an outpatient evidence-based pain center focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.  This includes sport medicine, non-surgical minimally invasive spine interventions, and new techniques such as regenerative and functional medicine.

He has published books, abstracts, and papers in various peer-reviewed journals and continues to work on a number of independent research projects aimed at improving knowledge in sports medicine, spine care, and pain. As part of this academic commitment, Dr. Gupta sits on multiple academic, provincial and federal boards to provide guidance in health care for chronic disease specifically for bone, tendons, joints, and nerves.  Dr. Gupta is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary.

Along with medicine, Dr. Gupta loves to travel to exotic and warm destinations.  He has a passion for architectural design and construction.
